Pet Cancer Registry

Dear Dog Lover,

Please alert your membership to a new and very useful Internet service.
The Vet Cancer Registry ( www.vetcancerregistry.com ) was started to collect meaningful statistical information about cancers in our canine and feline companions.  It is now the largest registry of its kind with over 7500 cases and contributions from veterinarians and veterinary institutions all over the world.  It is self-explanatory, user friendly and completely free.

Although designed for veterinarians, I think you will find lots of useful information on it.  I'm also requesting that you encourage your members to encourage their veterinarians to contribute cases.

If your breed is underrepresented it is because your veterinarians aren't contributing.  It takes a few minutes to enter a case (this must be done by a veterinarian or a veterinary technician) it is free to them and privacy is strongly enforced.

If you would like to advertise this worthwhile effort to your membership, feel free to cut and paste information directly from the website.

Thanks for your interest, Steve Steinberg, VMD, DACVIM,
Coordinator
